This product is good. It does not include BM recipe like BM 250. It’s a pitty

  2. carla Says:

very good product but no recipe book…

  3. David Townsend Says:

Recently bought this product and chose it because of the good reputation Kenwood has. I am dis appointed that the recipes included in the manual do not include those for all the programmes (for instance, French Bread – program 2). I visited Kenwood’s web site but there are only recipes for the two top models. Those programmes without instructions or recipes are effectively useless to me. Kenwood should really put themselves in the client’s shoes and understand the frustration we feel when they do not help us get the best out of our purchase.

I am so disappointed with this machine I bought. TO date each bread I have baked with the machine has only risen and baked 1 third of the actual 900g size bread. I have baked bread manually for 30 years and had a good bread machine and replaced it with this new one. I have yet to bake the perfect loaf. Can you give me proper recipes for this machine. I am very disappointed in the book which is supposed to be a recipe book, but following each recipe with the strictest regime, making sure that each ingredient is measured and added in the right sequence. Has anyone experienced the same problem I have had? I would really appreciate some ideas and help.
    Kindest regards, happy bread making!!

  5. Lisa Johnson Says:

I totally agree with David’s comments. I have recently bought the same machine and have really struggled to find recipes for this. I have also had problems with the quantities, as the ones suggested do not produce very nice bread. I have recently found a bread mix which is better than everything else I have tried, however, I am still dissapointed.
Could Kenwood please provide us with some decent recipes!! I am looking for a cake recipe currently.

  6. Abdullah Rajput Says:

I am totally agreed to all you guys regarding the product from Kenwood. The recipe book came with it is not sufficient and the breads inside are not coming up nice as it need to be. I have tried so many things and changed the recipe altogether with different flours. Can KENWOOD be kind enough to launch a recipe book or give us ONE good recipe to make a decent bread in this machine. Or else this machine would be a WASTE … I hope someone do come in contact from here … Best of LUCK

  7. Linda McLean Says:

Hi, I am having the same trouble finding a recipe for making bread with the Kenwood Machine. Please Kenwood give us the recipes to go with the machine or personally the machine is useless….

  8. Betty Sam Says:

Adding to the list of dissatisfied customers.Recently bought this machine and have the problems that most of the customers have complained here. The bread comes out really dense and the top always crumbles down. Do we need to remove the kneading pin when the kneading is over? Would really appreciate any help regarding this.

  9. Subra Says:

I bought a Kenwood BM 210 breadmaker thinking that I could make good wholemeal bread. As no recipes were given for this model, I had to use bread making recipes for other Kenwood models which failed to produce results. My machine is lying idle. Wasted my money. Kenwood should have tried bread recipes for this Model before selling this model. It is not late at least Kenwood should take the initiative to come up with bread recipes for this machine and email them to the customers. If I had known this problem earlier I would have gone for other brands.

  10. Michael Williams Says:

I agree with all of those that write here. After my Coop made machine (after good service), had given up.
I decided to buy a Kenwood BM 210. This was solely on the bases of Kenwood’s good name. I’m now of the opinion that I have made a mistake, as the BM210 for me has been a total flop. The bread recipes, if one can call them recipes do no-matter how precise the ingredient measurement, “just don’t work”. Reading all the messages here, has convinced me that the BM210 has a general construction fault and this fault should be addresses by Kenwood, but were do we complain? Trying to contact Kenwood over the net, is impossible. What I have, is a well “designed piece of junk”

  11. Meriam Says:

I agree with all of you guys. I bought the same model BM 210 kenwood breadmaker tried so many times to bake nice breads but did not turn out right very much disappointed. Hopefully kenwood could help out with the right recipes for this model so that my machine will not

  13. Mags Lamb Says:

I agree with David Townsend and others,
I bought my BM210 in 2008 and had no success with it, every single bread I made was a flop. My bread machine at the moment is a big white elephant in my kitchen.
    Mags

  14. Elaine Says:

This is ridiculous! How is it that no-one has had any success. I bought the breadmaker this weekend looking forward to fresh bread every morning, so far so good, but what about all the other programmes. Can’t someone do something about this?

  15. duilio cannavo Says:

This machine is not provided with sufficient instruction, kenwood has no help towards this machines failure to produce bread all it gives you is a stodgy piece of half baked flour no matter how i try to adjust i must have fed the dustbin at least 70 kgs of stodgy bread to date.
    shame on you kenwood.
other bread makers work beautifully i will never buy any kenwood product again.

  16. Gautam Says:

    Hi All,

I bought this Breadmaker recently for my Father (in India) as this was the only breadmaker available and that too on 1 website. Breadmaking in homes is extremely rare at this point in India, hence it’s easy to see why 99% people/store owners do not even know what a breadmaker is.

Anyways, I have been using Breadman TR520 Bread Maker in USA since January of this year with 100% success rate. I hope to solve your problems through my message.

After using 2 recipes given in the Manual that came with “Kenwood BM210″ – I was left disappointed. Kenwood really needs to fix this ASAP and have a baking expert update the recipe book. The loaves I cooked after following the steps/recipe listed in the Kenwood book – were very low, failed to rise and more or less uncooked.

I then finally used my own recipe that I use with my US “Breadman TR520 Bread Maker” and the loaf came out much better, but still did not rise as much as my US loaves rise. But I plan to experiment more with Yeast QTY. You guys can try my recipe and let me know how it goes for you. The loaf tasted awesome (same as my US loaf does) and rose twice as much as my previous loaf (that I made after following kenwood steps).

    Here is my Recipe
    ———————

    Bread Recipe

    1 level cup lukewarm water
    1 Egg, room temperature
    3/4 Teaspoon (TSP) Salt
    2 Tablespoon (TBS) olive oil
    2 Tablespoon (TBS) Maple Syrup/Honey
    3 Cups leveled bread flour:

    1 ½ cups Bread Flour/Maida/Refined Flour
1 ½ cups Whole Wheat Flour

1 ½ Teaspoon (TSP) Yeast on top of flour (make a well by digging and then pour YEAST in)

    Bread-maker Program

PRESS the OPEN BOOK button and PRESS Thrice to select PROGRAM 3 (will be displayed in LCD)

PRESS BREAD LOAF button to SELECT Light Setting (Arrow on top will be on left-most side)

    PRESS START

After Beep >> Add Pecans/Seeds as needed

  17. David Rempel Says:

Thank you all for saving me a lot of trouble. I just bought this yesterday; tonight I made my first loaf and stayed up until 1am so I could try it. Of course it was dense and gross, and I was ready to start over, thinking I must have made a mistake. Thankfully I looked for advice first, and came across this page which will now save me hours or days of frustration. Now I will just return it and choose another model.
